Roxie DAVIS was born about 1882 in Macon, Marengo County, Alabama to parents Joseph Warren & Queen Ann (McKISSACK) DAVIS.
Roxie married "Ed" James Edward LUCAS 28 Dec 1898 in Shelby County, Alabama.
They had six children: John Robert (1898), Roxie Viola (1900), Lee Dennis (1902), Frank George (1905), Joseph F. (1908), and Shula Mabelle (1909).
The 1900 census record shows Ed & Roxie with their first child, John R., living in Shelby County, Alabama.
The 1910 census record shows the family living in Six Mile Precinct, Bibb County, Alabama. Roxie had six children, all still living at that time.
Roxie LUCAS was sick for about one year prior to her death 01 Apr 1915 in
Piper, Bibb County, Alabama. She was only 33 years old.
