Joseph was married 16 Sep 1877 to Queen Ann McKISSICK in Henry County, Alabama. They may have had three children: Anna F. (1879), Roxie (1882), and Mittie Maybelle (1887) before Queen died in 1890.

Joseph married Florence Mary HUDGINS in 1891. They had six children: Estelle Stella (1892), Joseph B. (1894), Mattie (1896-1898), Mamie (1898), Emanuel (1899) and Jimmy Lee (1904).

Joseph Warren DAVIS died 28 Jun 1905 in Shelby County, Alabama.
