Louis LEONARCZYK was born 11 Aug 1894, in Cicero, Cook County, Illinois, a son of Thomas and Antonina (KWIATOWSKI) LEONARCZYK.
Louis married Gertrude PIATEK (elsewhere spelled PIONTEK) 27 May 1916 in Cook County, Illinois.
The
1917 World War I Draft Registration Card shows Louis was working as a
machine operator at Western Electric's Hawthorne plant. He was married and
living at 5018 W 31st Place, Cicero. He was of medium height, with a stout
build, gray eyes, and blonde hair.
The couple had two children: Gertrude (1919) and Henry J (1920). Henry married Eve REBROVICH. He died 29 Jun 1990 in La Grange, Cook County, and was buried in Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Cook County.
The
1920 census record shows Louis was a wash machine operator. The family lived
at 5018 W 31st Place, Cicero. They neighbored Martin and Bessie LANGNER, the
couples each with daughters almost 2 years old.
The
1930 census record shows the family of four living in their own home at 5216
30th Place, Cicero, but there is a note "wrong information from neighbors as
to number of people). Both parents are working at Electrical
Works; Louis as a screw machine operator, Gertrude as an insulator.
Louis
LEONARCZYK died 05 Dec 1950, in Berwyn, Cook County, Illinois. Many years
later, his widow, Gertrude, died 10 Feb 1977. Both rest in Resurrection
Cemetery in Justice, Cook County, Illinois.
