Dorothy
Edith DUBRICK was born 08 May 1905, in Berlin, Waterloo, Ontario,
Canada, to parents Herman Carl and Elizabeth Shoemaker (ISRAEL) DUBRICK.
Stanley Percy HASS and Dorothy DUBRICK were married 29 Sep 1923, in Lincoln, Lincoln, Ontario, Canada. They had four children, Patricia (1924), June (1925), Stanley Irvin (1927), and Donald (1928). The children were all born in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.
The
family moved from Hinsdale, Illinois, to Los Angeles County, California
about 1944. They lived at 3611 Copeland Place, for some time before moving
to 1402 East 3rd, Duarte, Los Angeles County, California.
"She let everyone, including all her grandkids, call her Dorothy." [*DWH]
Four generations are pictured to the right: Dorothy, her son Stan, his son
David, and her great-grandson Weston.
"She owned and operated a card store in Pasadena, located on the street that the Rose Parade went passed every year." [*DWH]
Dorothy suffered from atherosclerotic heart disease and senile dementia for many years before her death. Dorothy Edith HASS died 16 Sep 1993, in Temple City, Los Angeles, California. She was laid to rest in Live Oaks Cemetery, Monrovia, California.
