Stella LANGNER

1904 - 1950

Stanislawa LANGNER was born 23 Nov 1904 in Cicero, Cook County, Illinois. She was a daughter of John and Maryanna (MICHALAK) LANGNER.

In 1924, Stella married Frank Henry REMBLOS. Frank was born 26 Oct 1897, in Czechoslovakia. He immigrated to the United States in 1910, and was Naturalized in 1927.

Frank and Stella had four children:

1. Shirley (1930-2001) married Conrad F. BIGOS. They had one son.
2. Joanne (1933) married MARONE.
3. Leroy F. (1935- 1990) married and had two daughters.
4. Dennis John (1940-1965) died when only 24 years old.

"Aunt Stella always was baking up a storm on the weekends - very delicious cakes, breads, coffee cakes, and a lot of different things."  [*DLS]

Frank worked as a stationary engineer at storage house. Stella worked at Hotpoint/Sunbeam.

Frank made big, beautiful, detailed doll houses. The first one he made for his daughters. When Susie Pietrzak was born, her grandfather asked him to make one for Susie. When Chrystine was born, Marie refurbished Susie’s with new wallpaper, paint, furniture, and everything. The doll houses were about four feet by two feet with a removable roof.

Stella REMBLOS died 06 Jun 1950 without warning of a heart attack while waiting at a bus stop on the way home from work. She was only 45 years old. She was laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Cook County, Illinois.
