Jeanette LANGNER

1924 - 2006

Jenie Margaret LANGNER was born 10 Aug 1924, a daughter of Frank and Genevieve T. (OLSZEWSKI) LANGNER. For a time, she was officially known as Genevieve Catherine. Familiarly, she was known as Jeanette.

Jeanette had a defective heart valve, possibly damaged when a child by rheumatic fever.

Jeanette attended Good Shepard grade school and St. Casimir high school.

She worked at Excel (made movie cameras) and Wittek Company in Chicago.

Felix TRYBUL married Jeanette 21 Jun 1946. His birth surname was TRYBULOWSKI, and was legally changed to TRYBUL. Felix and Jeanette had one daughter, Eileen (1948). The marriage ended in 1950 by a divorce.

Joseph GUZY became her second husband 30 Jun 1956. Joseph was from Poland. In 1959, they had twin boys, Mark and Michael. Joseph moved back to Europe after their divorce.

On 17 Dec 1968, Jeanette married John POWELL. John adopted the twins.

She had open heart surgery in 1973. In 1975, they went in again to replace the old valve with a new valve, because the old valve was defective and causing infection. In 1987, the doctors tried the new balloon treatment, instead of another operation.

Jeanette POWELL died in April of 2006.
